Book Review - “Till the Last Breath” by Durjoy Datta

Finally, Durjoy Dutta, who needs no introduction, comes up with a Book which has a short title. Published by grapevine publishers, the Book has a decent cover page.  Well, I must say this is the best work of Durjoy Dutta.

The Story deals with five major characters – Arman Kashyup, a genius doctor, Zarah Mirza, another doctor and two patients Pihu Malhotra and Dushyant Roy, both admitted in room no. 509 and  Kajal Khurana, Dushyant`s  ex-girlfriend. Every chapter of the book is named after any of the five characters.

Pihu Malhotra, who is a brilliant first year medical student, is suffering from a Lou Gehrig`s disease, which is incurable. It leads to a painful death.  The second patient of room no. 509 Dushyant is a twenty-five year old drug addict whose organ system is shutting down. Both the doctors Arman and Zarah put their medical licenses at risk.

Dushyant was hostile towards Pihu but she was a brilliant medical student and diagnosed Dushyant`s disease, which well known doctors like Arman and Zarah couldn’t do. As time passed by there is a bond between Pihu and Arman, they go for a date. Zarah is also attracted towards Dushyant and she reveals few of her secrets to Dushyant. Will the patients be cured by the brilliant doctors? Will the doctors lose their licenses? Grab your copies to know about it.

The Book has a lot of twists and turns. It’s really interesting and a complete page turner. I completed it in less than six hours. Though, I was a bit disappointed by the bad paper quality and some major printing mistakes. I would rate it 3.8/5. Go for it guys!!! Worth reading!!
